HISTORY
A local club since 1977
Badminton Club Backhand, a club dedicated to badminton, was founded in Porvoo in 1977. The year 2027 is our anniversary year. We will publish the club’s anniversary history on this page during the latter part of 2026. Some of the founders are still active in the club. Badminton helps us remain active for longer.
The BCB story
Badminton Club Backhand is founded in Porvoo.
The Porvoo recreational team tournament becomes a long tradition.
Juniors and adults from different backgrounds play in the club.
Activities are developed by expanding junior work, enabling broader competition opportunities and offering more playing sessions.
The club’s 50th anniversary year begins! We will celebrate the club at a date to be announced later.
